Blog #10
I feel like I probably wouldn't use data collection surveys a lot, because I am going to be teaching younger kids. If I did use it, it would be for simple things like "how do you get home" or "do you have access to these things(computer, calculator, etc) at home." I do feel like I would be using excel a lot more for things like reporting grades or important data to the school. I would try to report grades in a way that shows what subjects the students are strongest in, so they know their weak points and are able to work on it.
The interesting things I learned from my classmates blogs was new softwares, like edmodo or edutopia. I also learned that most of my classmates have the same thought processes as me and plan to incorporate the software and programs we learned in class in a lot of the same ways I plan on doing it. I also found news ways to do the ILP assignments that are different and a bit easier than the Lynda videos that I did last time.
I would like to learn how to use the programs, like ClassDojo or grade reporting programs, and software, like smartboards and the stuff they have in the sandbox, that I will be using in the classrooms. I liked learning the microsoft programs and I did learn new things, but I feel like it would have been nice to use things I don't already know a bit about. I want to achieve this goal by spending more time in the sandbox and using the programs and materials they have there.
